A Day in Poland

E-mail Print PDF
A few weeks ago, I joined my grade on a trip to Poland and Israel—we spent six days in Poland and two days in Israel. It was certainly a very different experience from the classic “senior trip”; instead of going someplace fun and relaxing, we journeyed to a country filled with history and meaning, both joyful...

Vacationing in Montreal

I present this updated article due to its popularity last year. There are some additions and changes to the restaurants in the city and there is a new suggestion of what to do with kids or adults for that matter. Again, especially with the exchange rate which works so well for Americans in Canada you cannot go wrong to choose Montreal as your easy-to-get-to vacation destination.

The summer is upon us and families are considering different options of fun and easy destinations to visit. In my mind, Montreal is a no-brainer of a great place to visit, with opportunities for everyone in the family to have a good time.

The once-thriving cities of Monticello, South Fallsburg and Liberty in Sullivan County look like ghost towns in the winter, with rows...

Baltimore: A City With Much to Offer During Winter Break

Baltimore is about 200 miles from Teaneck and will take about four hours of travel by car.

According to the community’s 2010 population survey, some 31 percent of its approximately 94,000 Jews comprise an active, strong, unified Orthodox community.

There are so many places to visit, from the National Aquarium to Inner Harbor to the B&O Railroad Museum, that if a family wants to spend a day or two away from home, their days will be filled with activity. Those activities will attract all ages.

Of course, during the summer months it is already well known that families from Boston to New York to New Jersey take in the Baltimore attractions while taking in a baseball game at the...
